The University of California San Diego Libraries, the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS), the UCSD Center for the Humanities, the UCSD Chinese Studies Program, the American Chinese Culture and Education Foundation, and the San Diego Chinese Association are proud to host a unique multimedia presentation on the Chinese Cultural Revolution, 1966-1976. This two-day event highlighting the 40th anniversary of the Cultural Revolution will be held at UCSD's Geisel Library and the Graduate School of IR/PS. This event will examine the social, political, cultural, and historical backdrop of the Cultural Revolution through a poster exhibition, 6 films, a book talk, 2 lectures, and 2 panel discussions with distinguished scholars in Chinese studies. The event is free and open to the public. Consult the Activity Program for details on event times and dates. Note: Films are not rated. Parental discretion is advised. |
